Ovejita
The Ovejita Bonnet/Balaclava is a top-down hooded bonnet knit in fluffy teddy yarn held double. The bonnet is knit in stockinette stitch, and features a couple of adorable flap ears!!
The pattern includes links to video tutorials.
SIZES
6-12 (12-18, 18-24) months.
YARN
2 (2, 2) skeins of Teddy Dear by Gepard Garn (50% alpaca, 40% merino 10 % polyester) 50 gr /70 m.
or
2 (2, 2) skeins of Rowan Soft Bouclé (45% cotton, 23% alpaca, 22% merino, 10% polyamide). 50 grams /100 meters
Yarn is held double throughout!
NEEDLES
— 6 mm circular needle, cable length 80 cm / 32” (or needle size to obtain gauge).
Swatch to find the right needle size for your own tension and yarn choice.
GAUGE
10 sts x 16 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in stockinette stitch worked flat on larger needle after blocking.
NOTIONS
Blocking tools, scissors, a tapestry needle for weaving in ends, 3 stitch markers (2 of which should be removable), and tape measure.
