The Half Linen Stitch is fun to work and the resulting fabric looks very much like a woven fabric. Both the right and wrong sides of this stitch pattern are unique, and do not look like a “wrong” side. Great for a scarf! The resulting fabric is not as stretchy as a regular knit stitch.
The pattern calls for two different fingering weight yarns, one solid and one variegated, but this stitch is also very effective in a solid color, which would work well for a man’s scarf.
Instructions for make the fringe are included in the pattern.
