A hat and a scarf leave gaps for the wind to get to you… so why not a hooded scarf? This one is worked in one piece, from one end to the other, for a fast finish and super cuddly fabric. Because it’s one piece, the cabled trim also runs continuously from one end to the other for a slick look.

Note that child size is designed for a fairly short scarf (about 13 inches before and after the hood). If you like a longer scarf, plan on using another ball of yarn.
