Ok - who remembers the beautiful childhood bedtime story books
- The Owl Babies by Martin Waddell
and
- The Owl Who was afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson?
And which character from those books will you make?
Sarah, Percy, Bill
or Plop!!
My baby is knitted with a combination of bouclé and soft brushed alpaca for extra ‘loft’ - very important when you are an owl!!
She/ he is knitted flat with ‘join as you go’ elements.
You’ll also need 18mm brown toy safety eyes (which you can get everywhere from your local yarn/ haberdashery to Ebay and Etsy)
And wire legs which can be bought from themakerss.co.uk - the large white ones are the ones I used.
