A US 1½ (2.5 mm) 32” / 80 cm (or longer) circular needle, or double pointed needles (DPNs)

Gauge (after blocking)
34 stitches & 46 rounds = 4” / 10 cm in St st with US 1½ (2.5 mm) needle

Sizes
Finished foot circumference: 6¾“ / 17 cm
If you need to adapt the pattern to a different size, you can play with the needle sizes and see if this gets you the desired results.

Cable needle, tapestry needle, stitch markers (optional), US 1½ DPNs for grafting

Note
Sock is knitted in the round from the top down. Beginning from cuff, leg is worked in the cable pattern in the round and then heel flap is worked in rows after heel and instep stitches are separated. Gusset stitches are picked up from the sides of the heel flap and foot is knitted in the round continuing the cable pattern and decreasing gusset stitches. Finally toe opening is grafted to finish.
Instructions are written for using magic loop method.

Note
履き口から編む靴下. 作り目し, 輪でケーブル模様を編みながら脚を編む. 甲とかかとの目を分けた後, かかとのヒールフラップを往復編みで編み, ヒールフラップのサイドから目を拾ってマチを減目しながら輪で足を編む. 最後につま先をメリヤスはぎで閉じる.
