My neighbors daughter was having a baby and I was asked to hand make her first baby blanket. She chose beautiful gender neutral colours and the crocheted moss stitch.

The height of the stripes was determined by how much I could get out of 1 ball, so the is very little wastage in this blanket.

The pattern is moss stitch (sc1, ch1) and the border is my all time favorite where one crochets into the 3rd loop of a half double crochet.

I used a 4 mm hook for the entire blanket except for the first round of the border where I used a 3.5 mm.

The blanket measures 90 x 102 cm.

It is crocheted using my hand dyed Nikkim, 100% cotton DK.
4 balls Princess Mink, 4 balls Old Gold, 3 balls Princess Baby Mink and 3 balls Dunes.
