A Cowichan jacket may seem hard to wear for girls, but it’s not when it comes in sweet colors like pink or moss green. The knitted patterns are made with the base yarn and contrast color put together. It is wonderful that the weight is so much lighter than you think when you put it on.

This jacket is made by working the back from the bottm in one piece in colorwork pattern stitch, and working the back, the right front and the left front separately from the underarm. Sleeves are worked separately and joined later.
The colorwork pattern stitch is worked by trapping the floats
