I swatched this stitch pattern/yarn combination, and was moderately happy with the results. It was only when I actually put the sock on my foot that the magic happened. I absolutely
adore the results when the lace opens up and the stacked decreases expand into their very pronounced zigzag pattern. In this case, not only did I have to swatch, I had to actually wear the socks to determine I’d found the right stitch/colorway mix!
