Paeony
A peony flower starts its life as a big, round, and tightly closed flower bud. The bud’s full shape is the promise of an explosion of color and delicate petals. Peony flowers make me think of abundance, as well as the liveliness and renewal that spring brings to us. Fresh petals soon dance in a sea of light-green leaves, a gentle breeze, and warming sun rays.
The Paeony cowl features an all-over lace pattern with a twist, both delicate and geometric at the same time. Open spaces alternate with undulating columns of stitches to form dancing lines all over the cowl. Awaken your own spring-inspired joy, whether spring is a blooming reality or a sweet, distant memory, and wrap your neck in lavish Paeony buds!
For best effect, use a round yarn with good stitch definition. Yarn weights ranging from Fingering to DK would be suitable. As for colorways, I would recommend solid, semi-solid, speckled, or gradient (single skein or gradient set) yarns.
