Skill Level: Easy

These coasters work up quickly in mosaic garter stitch with two contrasting color yarns—just one strand works every two rows while the other strand rests at the edge. Follow the pattern for the striped egg (or 4 other options with a decorative band). Gauge and dimensions are provided in a DK cotton-linen fiber (intentionally knit with a tighter gauge).

Use contrasting solid colors or try semi-solid tonal yarn for one of the colors. As long as the contrasting and main colors contrast well, the design will reveal itself. The pattern includes both positive and negative charts (with full-written instructions). These coasters are fun for gifting and around the home!
