The colours and patterning of this scarf reflect bluebunch wheatgrass on the plain in the evening sun.

The finished scarf measures a generous 72”/ 183cm long and 14”/ 35.5cm wide, making it wearable wrapped over the neck or draped over the shoulders. The elegant handpainted silk blend gives an airy drape which is finished with tassels.

Materials:
Polka Dot Sheep Iron Horse, 75% Merino/ 25% Mulberry Silk, 438y/400m; 100g/3.5oz. 1 skein of Grouse (MC), ½ a skein of Inversion (C1), and 1 skein of Eastside (C2).

Tools:
US 4 (3.5mm) needles or needle size necessary to obtain gauge; cable needle; tapestry needle; plastic card, such as a credit or debit card (optional) for making tassels.

Gauge:
26 sts/28 rows over 4”/10cm in pattern, wet blocked.

Abbreviations:
C – Contrast Colour
Cdd – Centered Double Decrease (Slip 2 sts together knitwise, k1, pass 2 slipped sts over k st) – decrease by 2 sts.
