Pale Shelter is a top-down circular yoke sweater with lovely design details: A reinforced neckline achieved by holding the yarn double, a line of eyelets tracing the sides of the body, and a twisted stitch seam running down the back. The pattern comes with optional A-line shaping and two sleeve versions: regular sleeves (as pictured), and Bishop sleeves.

1120 (1200, 1240, 1300)(1440, 1500, 1540, 1590, 1630) m yds of De Rerum Natura Antigone (pure organic linen, 260 m / 284 yds per 100 g).
CC yarn for optional contrast stripe: 30 metres / 32 yards
Sample shown is knit in colourway Heron. Claudia wears a size 3 with regular sleeves and 26.5 cm / 10.5” of positive ease.

NEEDLES
— 5 mm / US 8 circular needle with a cable length of at least 80 cm / 32” (or needle size to obtain gauge)
— 4 mm / US 6 circular needle with a cable length of at least 80 cm / 32” (or needle one or two sizes smaller than main needle)

GAUGE
20 sts x 25 rounds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in the round, in stockinette stitch, on larger needle, after blocking.

Please, note that linen stretches by 10-20% after blocking so you’ll need to measure your swatch before and after blocking. As a reference, the swatch for the sample had 22 sts x 28 rounds in 10 x 10 cm before blocking.

NOTIONS
Scissors, waste yarn or stitch holders, markers in two different colors (use one color to mark the BOR and fake seams and a different color for the bias motive). You will need an extra circular cable to work the provisional cast on and an additional needle to work the three-needle bind-off.
