Palm Tree Hat
Celebrate the tropics or dress like a tree with this crocheted Palm Tree Hat. This hat is constructed in 2 parts. The base of the hat is created using shell stitches to mimic the texture of tree bark. The leaves of the trees are made individually and joined to the had base using slip stitches. The final 3 leaves are sewn to the top of the hat to hide the binding off stitches.
This pattern is written in 2 sizes. If you would like to make a hat larger/smaller than the sizes listed, I recommend adjusting the starting chain count by a multiple of 6 stitches and adjust the placements of the leaves in the last 6 rounds.
Baby Size Hat: 15” circumference, 6.5” length
Large Child/Teen/Adult Size: 19” circumference, 9” length
