The Palm Tree Tapestry Bag is a great introduction to using multiple colors and working in turned rounds. Traditional tapestry worked in the round is typically only done on one side, and the design may lean to one side. In this project, the turned rounds keep the colors lined up for a truly unique bag to carry a piece of summer or that beach trip alongside you.

Instructions are included for using purse handles, making your own purse handles, a slip stitch bottom, and two options for making a flat bottom. If you choose the alternative bottom, it will give you a chance to develop a new skill to reduce seaming.

The free pattern on my site is the written instructions, whereas the PDF version includes a color chart with the written instructions.
