Paola the Tibetan Yak
Paola the Yak is a very special NEW #edsanimals pattern that has been a long time in the making! Back in 2016 Kerry first met the real Paola, co-founder of mYak yarns, while teaching an Edward’s Menagerie crochet workshop in a gorgeous and very unique yarn shop in a small town in Germany. At that very first meeting the idea of creating a yak crocheted from yak fibre was born, and over the next few years Kerry had the pleasure of crocheting and knitting to experiment with this sumptuous natural fibre.
The Baby Yak fibre included in the kits is the true natural colour, and as most yaks are of a darker shade the light colours of ‘Glacier’ and ‘Oatmeal’ are very rare and even more precious. Warmer than wool, and as soft as cashmere, this 100% Baby Yak is a unique, ethically sourced fibre good for you, for the environment and for the community that produce it.
MEASUREMENTS: When finished your Tibetan Yak will be approximately 29cm from feet to top of horns.
SKILL LEVEL 3: This kit is more suitable for those with some crochet experience.
IT WILL TAKE: Approximately 5-10 hours crochet time.
