Paperbag Hat
Mary Bonnette’s charming topper is a cinch. The hat is worked flat with no shaping and seamed, then the crocheted tie is woven through the farrow rib fabric to close the top.

MATERIALS
2 (3, 3) 1 3/4oz/50g hanks (each approx 108yd/100m) of Tahki Cotton Classic (mercerized cotton) in #3783 bright teal YARN WT = 3
One pair size 7 (4.5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
Size H/8 (5mm) crochet hook

GAUGE
21 sts and 30 rows = 4”/10cm over farrow rib using size 7 (4.5mm) needles. TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.
