Papyrus was created for the (Vi)laines Anniversary Club (Dec 2013) and is now available to all.

Papyrus is a twisted, tubular cowl, knit in the round with 2 contrasting colors and closed with a grafted, truly invisible seam. It can be worn in many different ways. The multiple layers of fabric, created by the tubular construction as well as the colorwork, will make it wear well and will allow you to wear it in many different ways!

Size:
One size – Final circumference: approx. 70cm/28’’, adaptable as you wish, for a 20 cm width, double (tubular).

Gauge:
21 stitches x 24 rounds = 10 cm / 4’’, in Stockinette stitch in the round (gauge is not crucial and you can easily adapt the pattern to a different yarn weight)

Stitches:
Stockinette in the round
Papyrus stitch in 2 colors (pattern repeat
over 10 sts.)

Yarn & Notions :

• 1 skein of MCN DK by (Vi)laines – color A: « Mouse belly » (212m/232yds per 100gr)
• 1 skein of MCN DK by (Vi)laines – color B  : «  Strolling in the calanques  » (212m/232yds per 100gr)
• 1 circular needle necessary to get gauge (suggested size: 4.5 mm/US#7), and another
• needle for grafting.
• 1 stitch marker.
• Tapestry needle (for grafting).

Le col est tubulaire, tricoté avec 2 couleurs contrastantes dans le sens de la longueur. Il est ensuite fermé en grafting pour ne faire apparaître aucune couture, avec un twist qui donnera de la tenue à l’ouvrage et vous permettra de varier les façons de le porter  ! La double épaisseur créée par le tube vous parera contre les froids les plus piquants de cet hiver…

Taille unique – Circonférence finale du col  : environ 70cm, adaptable à votre envie pour une largeur de 20 cm, en double.

pour 10 x 10 cm de jersey tricoté en rond (cependant, l’échantillon n’est pas capital et vous pourrez facilement adapter à un autre
type de laine)

Jersey en rond
Point Papyrus bicolore (répétition de motif
sur 10m.)

Fournitures & Matériel :

• 1 écheveau de (Vi)laines MCN DK – coloris A : « Ventre de Souris » (212m. pour 100gr)
• 1 écheveau de (Vi)laines MCN DK – coloris B : «  Flâner dans les Calanques  » (212m. pour 100gr)
• 1 aiguille circulaire de la taille nécessaire pour obtenir l’échantillon (taille recommandée : 4,5mm)
• 1 deuxième aiguille pour le grafting
• 1 anneau marqueur.
• 1 aiguille à laine.
