I wanted a sweater that was soft and feminine, which I could achieve with Tess yarns. I love the bases she uses and the amazing, deep rich color that she creates with her monochromatic colorways. The yarn is very soft and can be worn against the skin so the fit can be snug with minimal ease. I had originally planned to use a very pale pink. As we are in the middle of a pandemic, I had to take what was available, but the color is perfect! It is a cross between a Japanese magnolia and a cherry blossom. Tess designated the color Paris in Spring. I cannot improve on that!

The sweater is knit in pieces and them seamed. The collar is worked separately and sewn on. This allows the knitter to block the collar off the sweater for easier and more consistent shaping. The result is a classic, very stylish cardigan that is easy and fun to knit.
