Fast and easy to knit, these small felt purses will add pizzazz to any outfit. Novelty yarn (single or double strand) is knit and felted along with the wool to create a colorful textured fabric.  The strap is a simple I-cord made to any length desired and is pulled through a small loop on the opposite side of the purse to create an interesting but easy closure.

Yarn Requirements:

Main Yarn: 275 (425) yards of light worsted weight wool that will felt quickly and easily, used double throughout.

Novelty Yarn: Approx. 35 (40) yards if used single strand, or 70 (80) yards if used double.

Needles: Size 13 16” ciruclar and size 11 double pointed needles.

Gauge Before Felting: 11 sts = 4” in stockinette stitch on larger needles with double strand wool.

Gauge After Felting: 14 sts = 4”
