Pasithea
I’ve always been intimidated by brioche until finally I tried it. That squishy, stretchy fabric with a unique, reversible look, now I can’t get enough! I was playing with the technique, as I’m often wont to do with techniques, and realized I could combine it with other techniques to create a new look, but brioche only increases one row per every two worked. What could I do that wouldn’t distort the fabric? Then it hit me, welts fold in as you work them, the perfect pairing for the whimsical brioche! Thus, this shawl was born, with two rows of two-color welts for every one row of two-color brioche, an illusion if ever there were one and quite fun to create and show off.
