The design:
Passion for Flowers is a colourful
floral design inspired by Passiflora
Edulis. This hexagon block can be
used in a variety of practical and
stylish ways. The pattern includes a simple complimentary half hexagon to assist you in making blankets
Materials needed:
Passion for Flowers was designed
using 8ply/DK/weight 3 yarn.
Meterage used for each block was
100m/110yrds
12m/13.1yrds of colour 1 (C1)
14m/15.3yrds of colour 2 (C2)
17m/18.5yrds of colour 3 (C3)
19m/20.7yrds of colour 4 (C4)
33m/36yrds of colour 5 (C5)
The block measures 23cm/9”
across flat edge to flat edge and
27cm/10.6” point to point. It
could be made larger using 10ply/
Aran/Worsted weight yarn, or
smaller using 4ply/Fingering/
weight 2 yarn (amount needed
would vary)
Stitch markers x6
Wool/darning needle
Gauge: rounds 1-4= 10.5cm
Recommended Hook size:
4-4.5 mm for 8ply
Or hook appropriate for your chosen yarn weight

is colour 1
pm: Place marker
CL3dc: a cluster of 3 double
crochet - see stitch tips
dc: Double crochet
sc: Single crochet
tr: Treble crochet
v st: dc1, ch1, dc1
bl: Work the stitch in the
back loop only e.g blsc
ch: chain
skp: Skip stitch
sl st: Slip stitch
ch-sp: Chain space
