Passport Pouches
Protect your documents with these vibrant Passport Pouches. These are knitted with a Fair-isle waves pattern which is a simple repeat. You can choose to make a book jacket style cover by adding some felt fabric pockets, or a simple pouch by sewing the sides together. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, these pouches are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).
NEEDLES
A pair of 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 6).
RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; up to 25g in each colour.
NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, button for closure, felt fabric for lining the book cover, and a tape measure/ruler.
SIZES
One size only - To fit a standard passport 12.5cm x 9cm.
TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, picking up stitches along an edge, and a little bit of seaming to finish.
