Patient Hat
Coordinating with the Patient Cowl, this slightly slouchy hat is worked in fingering weight yarn from the bottom up. A solid, slightly tonal, or gradient yarn will show off the pattern best. Variegated, self-striping, or speckled yarns will hide the beauty you have so patiently created.
Finished Size: approx. 20” (51 cm) around body of hat, 8.5” (21.5 cm) deep
Materials:
• Fingering weight yarn, 200 yds (183 m) Sample worked in The Fibre Co. Cumbria Fingering
• US Size 3 (3.25 mm) 16” (41 cm) circular needle and DPNs (or size needed to obtain gauge)
• US Size 2 (2.75 mm) 16” (41 cm) circular needle
• Optional beading—44 6/0 beads, 1mm crochet hook
• Stitch markers and tapestry needle
Gauge: 26 sts = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch
