Paula is a long scarf that features a beautiful Moss Stitch pattern and stripes. It is knitted with two strands, one of which is a mohair yarn, adding luxurious fluffiness to this simple accessory.

Length: 69.5” / 174 cm.

MATERIALS
Yarn A (main colour): 2 skeins of Arwetta by Filcolana (80% wool, 20% nylon, 230 yds / 210 m – 50 g), colourway Natural White 101, and 3 skeins of Ombelle by Fonty (75% mohair, 20% wool, 5% polyamide, 159  yds / 145  m – 50 g), colourway Ecru 1051.

In the pattern, Yarn A refers to these two yarns held together.

Yarn B (contrasting colour): 1  skein of Bicycle by West Wool (90% merino, 10% texel, 390 yds / 350 m– 100 g), colourway Beatrix, and 1 skein of Glowhair by West Wool (72% mohair, 28% silk, 437 yds / 400 m – 50 g), colourway Beatrix.

In the pattern, Yarn B refers to these two yarns held together.

If you decide to use another yarn, you will need approx.
For yarn A: 460 yds / 420 m of fingering-weight yarn and 421 yds / 385 m of lace-weight mohair yarn held together.

For yarn B: 274 yds / 250 m of fingering-weight yarn and 210 yds / 192 m of lace-weight mohair yarn held together.

Needles: US 5 / 3.75 mm 32” / 80 cm circular needles.

Notions: 1 removable stitch marker, tapestry needle, crochet hook of ca. US D-3 – G-6 / 3.25–4 mm.

GAUGE
15 sts x 30 rows to 4” / 10 cm on US 5 / 3.75 mm needles in Moss Stitch, after blocking.

CONSTRUCTION
This scarf is knitted flat with two strands of yarn held together thoughout the pattern. The scarf gets its fascinating woven structure sections by changing the colour every row. To achieve this, the stitches are slid back at the end of the row and then knitted again in the same direction.
