SKILL LEVEL
✨ Level 2–Advanced (angle stitches)
This mosaic crochet pattern is an advanced skill level and is recommended for crocheters with experience in mosaic overlay crochet. Detailed instructions, photos, and video tutorials will guide you through each step of the project. With a little bit of patience and practice, you’ll be a pro in no time!
If you are new to angle stitches, I highly recommend trying them first with this free Heart Mug Rug pattern. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/heart-mug-rug-2 This small 7”x 7” project is a great introduction to my angle notation system and includes my full stitch key.
FINISHED SIZE: 18”x 18”
(160 stitches x 77 rounds)
Gauge is very important to ensure a proper fit.
For this design, I used weight 4 yarn (worsted/aran) and a hook size of 4mm. Gauge: 4 stitches and 4 rows=1 inch
YARN:
Color A (dark/paw print) – 429 yds
Color B (light) – 410 yds
CROCHET HOOKS AND NOTIONS:
5mm(H)-Base/round 1
4mm(G)-starting in round 2

1” buttons (5)
ABOUT MOSAIC CROCHET
Mosaic crochet uses one color per row to create crisp, graphic imagery — no yarn is carried along the back of the work. This pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up with a button closure at the top for laundering convenience.
