This PDF crochet PATTERN gives you easy, step-by-step instructions how to crochet my beautiful Pea Souper Mosaic Crochet Throw. In this stunning on-trend shade of green, this geometric throw will look fabulous anywhere in your home!

This Throw is made using the Inset/2-row version of mosaic crochet where you do not fasten off the yarn when you change colour. You carry the yarn up the side of the work and change colour every 2 rows. Any loops carried up the side are covered at the end with the edging. Suitable for advanced beginner level upwards, the 11-page pattern includes:

Full written row-by-row instructions (UK crochet terms)
Pattern notes
Stitch abbreviations
Special stitch instructions
Mosaic crochet chart and instructions

You can either use the Scheepjes Colour Crafter DK yarn listed in the pattern, or any DK yarn you like. I used 5 balls Yarn A (Malmédy 2014) and 4 balls Yarn B (Zandvoort 1218) to achieve this size. You will also need a 5.5mm (US I/9) crochet hook, and a 65mm pompom maker (optional).

Your finished throw will measure approximately 100 x 130cm (39 x 51in). The pattern gives full details how to adjust the size to suit you using the starting chain multiples.

Please note: due to the nature of this Inset2-row version of mosaic crochet, short lengths of chain are made on the reverse. See photo of close-up of the reverse side. These can either be left loose or can be covered and incorporated into other stitches to hide them. Full details are given in the pattern.
