This gorgeous, distinctive coat is knit from the bottom up. Body and sleeves are worked separately to the underarms, then joined together to work the yoke in one piece. The bottom edge, cuffs, and front bands are finished with folded hems. The colorwork is done using the intarsia method.

Due to the large yoke pattern, it was not possible to write this design for size S. However, you can achieve a smaller coat by knitting the M size using a slightly thinner yarn (light sport or heavy fingering weight) at a gauge of 26 sts and 33 rows to 4”/10 cm. This would give you a coat measuring 38.5”/98 cm at the bust.
