Comfy, oversized sweater with raglan sleeves and side pockets. The sweater is worked from top down with yarn held double except for the pockets that are worked with a single strand.
The work begins with the ribbed turtleneck. The neckline is then shaped with short rows. When the raglan increases are completed, sleeve stitches are placed on hold. The body is then worked in the round to the beginning of pocket openings. Front and back are then worked separately to the given length and then joined for working in the round again. Stitches for each pocket are picked up around the pocket openings and the pockets are worked in the round. Sleeve stitches are then placed back on the needles and the sleeves are worked in the round towards the cuffs.
The pattern includes a photo tutorial for german short rows.

PATTERN INFORMATION
SIZES
XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL)
Bust circumference of the finished sweater: 40 (44 ¼, 48, 52 ¼, 56, 60 ¼, 64)” / 100 (111, 120, 131, 140, 151, 160) cm
To fit the actual bust 28 (32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52)” / 70 (80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130) cm
Designed to be worn with approximately 12” / 30 cm of positive ease. Shown in size S.

YARN
Isager Merilin (227 yds / 208 m per 50 g skein; 80 % wool, 20 % flax, shown in blue, color 10)
and
Isager Alpaca 2 (273 yds / 250 m per 50 g skein; 50% alpaca, 50% wool, shown in white, color E0),
approximately 1405 (1550, 1670, 1820, 1950, 2135, 2305) yds / 1285 (1415, 1530, 1665, 1785, 1950, 2110) m each yarn.
For the pockets you need approximately 135 yds / 125 m of Isager Merilin.

Two yarns are held together throughout, except for the pockets that are worked with a single strand. If substituting, choose yarns that give you the correct gauge. For example fingering weight + light fingering or fingering weight + laceweight mohair. Also note that when working the body back and forth for the pocket openings, the yarns blend differently compared to working in the round. You might want to use yarns that don’t have too much contrast when choosing the colors.
