The Pebbles & Scales Cowl is knitted in lace pattern which creates a distinctive fabric of diminishing puffs. The purled puffs at the base of each motif lift forward to make a deep, soft, attractive, “pebbly” texture. The reverse side looks good as well.
The cowl benefits by being left un-stretched to maintain the 3D effect.
The pattern is charted and written out. The gauge is not crucial. The width is easily adjustable.
