This pattern uses 2 worsted weight yarns held together. It’s worked starting with the bottom of the trash can. To prevent twisting, I recommend joining and chaining 1 at the end of each round. Front post single crochet stitches give the trash can texture. The lid can be worked in the round. The handle is crocheted separately and sewn on to the lid.
