First published in the Shetland Wool Week Annual 2020, Vol 6 this jumper is inspired by the traditional lace garments that were at one time worn regularly in Shetland. It has been given a modern twist using double knit yarn and an oversized boxy shape.

Pattern notes
Peerie Leaves jumper is knitted in the round from the bottom up, with the front and back ribbing first worked flat, separately to create a split hem. The jumper is designed to have a boxy shape with narrow fitted sleeves, when choosing your size, if you wish to make a smaller size than is recommended, please check the arm circumference as you may find the sleeves will be too tight. The shoulders are shaped using a series of short rows and then joined together either by grafting or a three-needle bind off. The sleeves are knitted separately and grafted onto the body at the end of the project.
