Pegantha Parthenon is a modified Kite (triangle) shawl shaped by increases and short rows featuring lace and stockinette stitch.
This pattern has been inspired by the illustration of the species Pegantha parthenon (Slide #16: Pegantha, No. 1) in Ernst Haeckel’s book Kunstformen der Natur.
It is part of the Knitting Art Forms of Nature project.
