Pele's Mitts
First off: This is a Tunisian crochet pattern and requires a Tunisian hook with a cable to complete.
Pele is the Hawaiian Goddess of fire and volcanos and these are the mitts I imagined she would wear. “Why would a Goddess of volcanos wear mitts” you ask? Well, I’ll admit it doesn’t make sense, but Tunisian crochet doesn’t need to make sense because it’s ART. Hrmph! With that said, these mitts are a quick and engaging work up. If made in ‘Randall’s Island’ sport weight yarn, you’ll end up with luxuriously soft mitts that are toasty warm for the winter weather, but light enough for indoor wear in chilly offices too. Enjoy!
