Silver beads suspended in eyelets cover this light, delicate triangular shawl, inspired by the cloud covered peak of one of Yorkshire’s three highest fells, Pen-y-ghent.

Materials:

• 2 x 100g skeins of Baa Ram Ewe’s Titus 4ply in shade Yorkstone.
• 1000/approximately 70g of Toho size 6 round seed beads in shade Silver Lined Transparent Crystal.
• 4.00mm circular needle, at least 80cm in length.
• 0.60mm crochet hook.

• Length from nape to tip: 46cm/18”

This shawl may look complex, but the pattern stitch is actually extremely easy to work, consisting of a simple 4st 6 row repeat of slipped yarn overs.

The beads are added using the crochet hook/as you go method; pulling an entire stitch through the bead and then working as normal, which I find to be much quicker and easier than the traditional method.

Th eyelet stitch is also very pretty un beaded, or beads can be applied to every other eyelet or just in the bottom half of the shawl.

The shawl is started at the nape on just 7 sts and then increased out, meaning that you can knit it to whatever size you want simply by changing the number of pattern repeated worked.

The bottom edge of the shawl is worked in garter stitch, with a picot cast off.

The pattern contains both charted and full written instructions.

Errata The last version of the pattern instructs the knitter to repeat rows 13 - 18 fifteen times, it should actually be repeated seventeen times.
