This double-knit cowl makes use of six different shades to create a gradient effect reminiscent of storm clouds. Knitting with one color and purling with another at the same time produces a reversible accessory that hides all of the stranded colorwork on the inside.

Quince&Co. Lark: 100% American Wool; 134 yds 123 m per 1.75 oz 50 g skein.
Color A: River 107, 1 skein.
Color B: Delft 108, 1 skein.
Color C: Bird’s Egg 106, 1 skein.
Color D: Glacier 105, 1 skein.
Color E: Frost 103, 1 skein.
Color F: Egret 101, 1 skein.

NEEDLES
US #6 4.00 mm, or size needed to obtain gauge; 24” 60 cm circular needle.

NOTIONS
Stitch marker
Blunt tapestry needle
Blocking pins, if desired

GAUGE
20 sts and 32 rnds = 4” 10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
This accessory is worked double-knit in the round. For each stitch indicated in the chart, two stitches are worked: knit the color indicated with both yarns in back and then immediately purl the other color used in the round with both yarns in front. It should feel as if you are working 1x1 ribbing for the entire project.
