Pepperberry Cowl
Pepperberry Cowl is inspired by my love of chevrons, colour and my need to have a ridiculously bright cowl for winter.
Knitted flat, beginning with a provisional cast on and joined using Kitchener stitch, this pattern uses an intarisa technique to create the colour blocks, but don’t worry if you haven’t done this before. I’ve included a separate tutorial to help you out.
Yarn: 720 yds/659m of a fingering weight yarn in total. 3 colours required 240 yds/220m per colour.
Sample uses: Madelinetosh 80/10/10 Fingering in Astrid Grey (MC), Pop Rocks (CC1) and Edison Bulb (CC2).
Size: 10.25 in/26cm wide by 55 in/140 cm circumference.
Skills required: Kitchener stitch, Intarsia.

Fun fact: This cowl is named after the berries of an edible native ‘bush tucker’ plant, the Mountain Pepper. (Tucker = Australian slang for food).
