This quick mosaic cowl is knit in 2 colors of aran-weight yarn. The bottom garter border is knit flat with I-cord edges which form a slit when joined in the round so that it sits nicely on the shoulders.

Mosaic pattern is both charted and written.

Materials
200 yards of aran-weight yarn – 135 yards of one color and 65 yards of a second color
US 8/5 mm 24” or smaller circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge in garter stitch
Extra needle in garter gauge size or smaller
US 10/6 mm 24” or smaller circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge in mosaic pattern
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
