This pattern is a knitted dishrag tribute to the graphic designer Orla Kiely. Originally designed for the 2010 Dishcloth Calendar, now it’s available for free on the Mason-Dixon Knitting website.

The pear shape is worked in the classic slip-stitch pattern of the Ballband Dishcloth from Mason-Dixon Knitting: The Curious Knitters’ Guide. The edging is applied i-cord, which starts with a stem and ends with a leaf. (So there’s no stinkin’ grafting!)
