The Periphery Shawl is a simple triangular shawl with a row of double-yarnover stitches about every eight inches. Thick tassels on each corner help weigh the shawl down so that it stays in place when you wrap it. It’s worked back and forth in rows beginning on the wide edge and decreasing to the point. The fabric is soft and drapey, thanks to the double-yarnover sections.

FINISHED SIZE 29½“ wide and 42½” long.

YARN Lorna’s Laces Cloudgate (90% superwash merino wool, 10% nylon; 120 yd / 3½ oz): #0020ns pine, 4 skeins.

NEEDLES Size 10 (6 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

NOTIONS Tapestry needle.

GAUGE 13 sts and 20 rows = 4” in St st.
