Periwinkle Cardigan
“In fine shape for separates, the easy-sleeved cardigan exquisitely balances openwork and ribbing.”
Gauge swatch should be done in the lace pattern with larger needles.
Requires 6 small buttons.
This short-sleeved cardigan is done in a simple lace (it looks like the cat’s eye lace pattern) on top, and is ribbed below the bustline and on the drop sleeves, giving it an Empire-style line. The front is fastened with six small buttons. The original pattern calls for periwinkle-colored acrylic/mohair yarn, but seems not to be exceedingly fuzzy or brushed; a yarn with some halo, but not a huge amount, would probably work best to get the original effect.
