Perlepop is a lovely scarf or little shawl, perfect for using up that single skein of luxury yarn. The shawl is easy to knit with simple hidden increases and small sections with nupps or beads (bead = perle in Danish), which gives a pop of structure and pattern in the finished shawl.

Perlepop is knit in garter stitch intersected with small pattern sections with nupps or beads. You can change between pattern sections as you like as they are completely interchangeable, thus it is possible to knit the shawl only with nupps or only with beads. The shawl is finished with an edge pattern using both beads and nupps (but this can also be change for one or the other of the pattern sections) and is bound off with a picot-bind off.

The finished shawl is approximately 125 cm wide and 40 cm at the middle.

The shawl uses 100 g of fingering weight (400 m pr. 100 g) yarn, and the samples are knit in a 70% babyalpaca, 20% silk, 10% cashmere blend.

For the beaded sections you will need up to 280 beads (if you choose to place beads in all pattern sections), Ø 3.8-4.5 mm.
