The Peter Pan Lace Collar is a fashionable addition to a simple dress or blouse. Knit flat from the center front to the back, the two halves of the collar are joined in the back by the Kitchener Stitch.

This collar has a small facing on the wrong side, and this is knit on the bias, so it will curve well around a neckband. A few short rows also help the collar to curve for the neck. Beads may be substituted for bobbles if desired.

This pattern is appropriate for the intermediate knitter. Three different increases and four different decreases are used. Each half of the collar has several short rows just before the join.

Originally available in Knit Now Magazine Number 3, this pattern is now for sale on Ravelry as well!
