A unique design for its combination of shape, felting, and pooling techniques, Triangulaire is a purse designed for worsted weight wool yarns. Beginning with the base triangle, the pattern moves on to tubular sides before repeating with more triangles for its flap and straps. Triangulaire is an excellent first pattern to learn the color pooling technique, as the felting masks uneven work. This 7 page pattern includes written instructions, charts and schematics.

Triangulaire was designed for yarns with short to medium length color repeats, but you may used solid or self striping yarns. Information on pooling is included in this pattern, but the pooling is optional.

Materials needed include 220 yards (201 meters) of worsted weight yarn. This yarn must be wool and cannot be washable, since the pattern is designed for felting.
US Size 7-9 (4.5 - 5.5 mm) double pointed and circular needles, depending upon gauge. Gauge is important if you are creating a purse with color pooling.
Yarn needle for weaving in ends.
Button or other closure.
Stitch marker.
Stitch holder or yarn scrap.

While you cannot make or sell copies of this pattern, you do have permission to sell your completed purses.
