This adorable crochet pattern will help you create your very own Peter, from the classic children’s story, “The Snowy Day,” by Ezra Jack Keats.

This easy (but not beginner) crochet pattern is written in US terms and is designed for crocheters with a solid understanding of simple crochet, and who don’t mind a little bit of sewing. Lots of photos are included to help you along the way.

You will need:
• 100 grams size 4 worsted weight yarn in Red
• 50 grams size 4 worsted weight yarn in Brown
• 10 grams size 4 worsted weight yarn in Black
• Crochet hook size G 4.00 mm or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
• Fiber Fill
• Stitch marker
• 2 small black buttons for eyes ONLY if piece is intended for people over 3 years of age.

Notes
• Peter’s legs, body and head are worked in one piece.
• Peter’s arms, jacket and hood are worked separately and sewn on.
• Peter is worked in continuous rounds from the bottom up.
• Peter stands roughly 9 inches tall.
