Meet Petrie, a sweet little dragon named after a special dragon who lives in the bedtime stories of a little girl I know.

Petrie can be made in any yarn and hook combination you want. Just be certain that the fabric is firm enough that stuffing does not show through.

I used Vanna’s Choice Solids in three different colors plus a scrap of black for the nose.

• MC- Dusty Green (160 yards)
• CC1- Dusty Purple (30 yards)
• CC2- Purple (10 yds)
• CC3- Black (less than 1 yard)

Petrie is an advanced beginner-level pattern. Skills you will need include single crochet, increases, decreases, and seaming.

The pattern has plenty of progress photos to help you along your way to making an adorable little dragon. Also included is a photo tutorial on how create child-safe eyes from felt, although instructions for using plastic safety eyes are given as well.
