Kristin Nicholas has designed this rectangular mohair shawl to be lofty, luxurious, and easy to make. The lace pattern is so basic, you are likely to memorize it after working just two or three repeats. The garter-stitch edging is knitted directly onto the body of the shawl (in the round on three circular needles to accommodate the large number of stitches), with increases at the four corners to form mitered edges that lie flat.
