Updated pattern - now includes DK weight version. Purchase includes PDFs for fingering and DK.

This scarf is worked sideways in an alternating series of colors and feather patterns. It is quick to memorize, and you can stop after any feather to achieve the desired length.

Perfect for using up odds and ends of yarn.

Fingering weight requires 275 yards (250 m) of the main color and a total of 275 yards (250 m) of 3 or more contrast colors.

DK weight requires 140 yards (128 m) of the main color and a total of 140 yards (128 m) of 3 or more contrast colors.

Originally designed in collaboration with Dye2Spin for Dallas LeakyCon 2019, inspired by Fawkes the Phoenix

Sample shown in Dye2Spin 100% Superwash Merino (400 yards/100 g):
60 g of “Sinister” (main color - red)
20 g of “Puff” (contrast color 1 – yellow)
20 g of “Fawkes” (contrast color 2 – variegated)
20 g of “Sirius” (contrast color 3 – black)

Skill level: intermediate - requires short rows, k2tog, binding off partial rows
