Pi Headband
Pi. The ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Irrational, yet perfect! If you are a math geek and love all things Pi, this headband is for you! It’s a very quick knit using DK weight yarn. The headband features the symbol π and the familiar numerical sequence. Numbers are added, depending on your size. But, of course, pi is never ending so the headband must end with …
There are long floats in this pattern but I suggest that you don’t bother to catch them and just make sure the float is loose enough that it won’t pucker. Since it’s a headband, there are no fingers, rings, toes, etc., to get caught on the floats.
The sample pictured (medium) used 30 grams of yarn total - so around 75 total yards of yarn. (I used approximately 20 yards of blue and 55 yards of white for the sample.)
Knit the headband with around 1-2 inches of negative ease, depending on your preference.
