While Newt Scamander adores of all the creature living in his magical suitcase, he has a particular fondness for Pickett, a Bowtruckle with “attachment issues.” With a thin green vine-like body and leaves coming out of the top of his head, Pickett fits nicely into Newt’s front jacket pocket. Adept at picking locks and helping Newt escape handcuffs in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, this tree dweller prefers to stay close to his human friend.

To mimic Pickett’s stemlike body, the legs of this adorable toy are worked flat back and forth, then wrapped around pipe cleaners, allowing him to be poseable. The rest of his body is worked in the round. The arms and legs are worked separately, then joined together by wrapping pipe cleaners together and picking up stitches. His head and leaves are worked in one piece after the body has been joined together.
