Pig in Field
A cuddly Pig in a Field blanket play-mat join the Farmland Favourites knitting pattern collection. The Field blanket is made by knitting squares which incorporate different textured knitting stitches. This knitting pattern has been designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz using acrylic DK yarns, and is knitted flat on single pointed needles. The Pig’s tail is an i-cord tube worked on two double pointed needles (DPNs).
RECOMMENDED YARN 
Deramores Studio Anti-Pilling DK in Rose, Malachite, Peridot and Citrine; one 100g skein in each colour 
Double knitting/light worsted weight 
100% acrylic
NEEDLES 
A pair of 4mm (US 6) straight single pointed knitting needles 
Two 3.5mm (US 4) DPNs to make the tail
NOTIONS 
Toy filling 
A darning or tapestry needle for seaming 
Two 5mm black beads for eyes, sewing needle and thread
SIZES 
One Size: Pig is 9cm tall and the Field is 60cm square.
TECHNIQUES 
Work all pieces flat on single pointed needles (not in the round), except for the pig tail which is i-cord worked on two DPNs. 
Other techniques include casting on and off, knits and purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
